Fifth Harmony’s hiatus has “nothing” to do with Camila Cabello.
The girl group – which includes Ally Brooke, Normani, Dinah Jane and Lauren Jauregui – announced on Monday (03.19.18) that they were taking a break from the band to pursue solo projects but an insider has insisted their decision has nothing to do with Camila’s departure from the group at the end of 2016.
A source said: “These girls have been working virtually every day, non-stop for six years. They needed time on their own.
“They spent their entire teen lives together, touring, recording and promoting their projects. So, they wanted to explore themselves as individuals, as humans. They all decided together that the end of this tour was a natural break and they could use the time to do some solo projects, whether that be albums or something else.
“They’re happy and supportive of each other. There is no drama about this hiatus. Since The X Factor began, they have not had the chance to do anything else but be Fifth Harmony. Camila Cabello leaving the group had nothing to do with this break. They have had a No. 1 album since she left and this is entirely about them taking time to be individuals.”
